First appearing in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977), he takes the role of Luke’s mentor, who gets caught up in the middle of the galactical civil war. Portrayed by Alec Guiness, he sacrifices himself in a duel against Darth Vader and guides Luke through the power of the Force.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Disney+ miniseries set 1- years after the events of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Released in 2022, it follows Kenobi, one of the last remaining Jedi’s to survive Order 66, living a solitary life in exile as he watches over young Luke Skywalker. Sith Inquisitors hunt down any surviving Jedi’s left after Order 66.
